Burger Loaf


This delicious and healthy meatloaf gives all the taste of a Mc D’s burger but for a fraction of the calories/fat. It will be a hit with the whole family.


Ingredients


800g Lean Mineed Beef

1 Small Onion Finely Chopped & Fried in a Non Stick Pan

2-3 Pickled Gherkins Sliced

150g Light Mozzarella Cheese or 2 Light Cheese Slices

Loaf Tin


Method


Place a layer of mince into the bottom of the loaf tin (approx 1 Inch in thickness). Add a layer of onions, top with another layer of mince. Next add a layer of gherkins followed by another layer of mince. Add the layer of cheese and finish with the final layer of mince.


Cook In a preheated oven at 175 for approximately 1 hour, remove and carefully discard any juice and turn the loaf over in the loaf tin, return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until browned.


To serve simply slice the burger loaf and place into a Wholemeal roll, top the burger with tomato sauce and enjoy.
