Creamy Peppercorn Mince Beef & Onion Pie

This really is a very simple dish to make and much healthier than a typical full fat pastry version. Using our very own Peppercorn Gravy with a little added light cream gives it a deliciously tasty filling and for a fraction of the calories.

Our sauces are available in some Supervalu, Centra & Mace Stores and can also be purchased online.

Serves 4

Ingredients

2 Wholemeal Wraps

450g 5% Fat Mince

1 Onion

1 Bottle of With Love Recipes Peppercorn Gravy

2 Tablespoons Single Soya Cream or Light Cream

1 Egg

Low Calorie Cooking Spray

Method

Firstly preheat their oven to 180 Degrees. Spray a pie or flan dish with low calorie cooking spray and line with one wholemeal wrap.

Next chop the onion and fry in a non stick frying pan sprayed with low calorie cooking spray. Add the mince and fry until browned. Pour in the peppercorn gravy and stir. Add 2 tablespoons of single soya cream, stir and simmer for a few minutes.

Turn off the heat and carefully spoon into the lined pie dish. Place the second wrap on top.

Beat the egg in a bowl and brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg. Using a knife cut two small slots into the centre. Seal the edge of the pie with a fork and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 Degrees or until golden brown.

Serve with seasonal vegetables.
