This is a really is a simple yet delicious recipe. Using supermarket budget chipsticks (crisps/baked snacks) and defrosted frozen fish helps save on the cost but the taste doesn't disappoint. A fuss-free way to have a little bit of what you fancy without the high fat, high calories of deep fried fish.
Ingredients
300-400g Bonesless Skinless White Fish
2-4 Packets Salt & Vinegar Chipsticks (1 bag per whole fillet is enough).
1 Egg Beaten
30g Flour for Dusting
Place the Chipsticks in a large sandwich bag and crush with a rolling pin or by hand to make crumbs.
Either keep fillets whole or cut into Goujons. Pat the fillets dry with kitchen roll. Dip each piece of fish into the flour, shake of excess. Then dip into the egg, then the crumbs.
Air fry or oven bake at 180 Degrees until cooked and Fish is flaky (75 degrees)
Air fry approx 8-12 minutes
Oven bake 15-25 minutes
Approx calories 198 per fillet, 40 per Goujon
