Pork Loin Steaks With Mushrooms In Creamy Apple Cider & Mustard Sauce


This dish is so easy to make And tastes amazing. Using Alcohol Free Cider and Light Single Cream makes it really creamy and of course healthy and best to all it only uses 8 ingredients! Perfect served with whole grain rice or creamy mash and seasonal vegetables.


Serves 4-8

Ingredients


8 Lean Pork Loin Steaks 8 Mushrooms Sliced

1 Onion Finely Chopped

2 Teaspoons Lazy Garlic

1 Tablespoon Whole Grain Mustard 3 Tablespoons Light Single Cream or Soya Cream

250ml Alcohol Free or Low Alcohol Cider

1 Teaspoon Xanthan Gum or 2 Teaspoons Cornflour

Fry the steaks in a non stick pan until browned around the edges. Remove from the pan. Next fry the onions and mushrooms for 3-5 minutes on a medium heat until cooked. Return the steaks to the pan and add garlic, fry for 1 minute and add the cider, simmer gently for 5 minutes.

Stir in the cream, mustard and xanthan gum or cornflour, simmer gently until sauce has thickenEd and steaks are cooked through.

Serve 1 steak per person as a light meal or 2 per person as part of a main meal.
