Serves 2
400g Beef Mince 5% Fat
1 Small Onion finely diced
2 Wholemeal Bread Rolls
Shredded Lettuce
4 Smoked Bacon Medallions
2 Montgomery Jack Cheese Slices
For the Sauce:
4 Tablespoons Tomato Puree
4 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Granulated Sweetener
4 Tablespoons Water
1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
Method:
Prepare the sauce first to allow it to cool, mix together the balsamic vinegar, tomato Purée, Sweetener , water and Paprika and heat gently in a pan for a couple of minutes. Leave to cool.
Make the burgers by dividing the Mince into 4 portions, squeeze the Mince together and make into burger rounds, grill or fry in a non stick pan until browned and cooked through. Fry the onions until browned and grill or fry the bacon.
Meanwhile heat the bread roll in the oven for 2 minutes and slice into 2 halves.
To assemble spread the onions on the base half of the roll, top with a burger, 1/2 slice cheese, follow with another burger, remaining cheese, bacon slices, lettuce and finish with lashings of sauce, place on the lid of the roll and enjoy!
