Turkey Base Protein Pizza

This turkey base pizza recipe so good, is extremely healthy and tastes amazing. Easy to make & quick to prepare,  its a great one for the kids to make. It also boasts the added health benefit of a high protein base which also makes it gluten free. Great for a treat, as a main meal or to share, once you try it they’ll be no going back to the high fat traditional pizza base.  So whether you are working out, on a weight loss plan or just want a healthy alternative this recipe has it all.


Ingredients


Serves 4-8


Base:

400g Extra Lean Turkey Mince (less than 5% fat)

2 Teaspoons Garlic Granules/Salt

2 Teaspoons Dried Oregano


Salt & Pepper (for seasoning)


Topping:

4 Tablespoons Tomato Puree

1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano


Any Healthy Toppings you like – for example, Ham, Pineapple, Diced Onion, Mixed Diced Peppers, Jalapeño Peppers, Light Mozzarella Cheese, Chicken etc


Method

Line a pizza tray with grease proof  paper. Place the turkey mince into a large bowl and mix in 2 Teaspoons garlic granules/salt & 2 Teaspoons Dried Oregano, season with salt & Pepper then squeeze the mince together by hand to fully combine.


Place onto the lined pizza tray and spread out evenly to the edges using the back of a spoon.


Cook at 180 for 10-15 minutes or air fry for 8-12 minutes or until cooked in the middle (the base should have shrunk slightly from the edges).


Remove from the oven, drain off any liquid, turn the pizza over and remove the grease proof paper.


Return to the unlined pizza tray. Gently spread the tomato purée over the base to the edges. Now go wild with your healthy toppings, finish with Light Grated Mozzarella cheese & sprinkle over 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano.

at 180 for 10-15 minutes or air fry for 8-12 minutes or until toppings are cooked right through & cheese has melted.
